Church Description and Purposes:

We are a multi-ethnic assembly of people from the greater Hampton Roads area who:

bulletclaim a personal relationship with God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
bullethave been baptized as a symbol of their commitment to follow the commands of Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Holy Bible,
bullethave agreed to commit themselves to one another before God to corporately and actively exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, to edify (build up) one another in our common faith, and to evangelize others by sharing with them the free gift of salvation that is only found in Jesus Christ.

Pastoral Greeting:

As the under-shepherd of this local body, I would like to extend to you its warmest greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God has graciously preserved His testimony in and through this local church for over 40 years, and most recently, He has been doing a steady work of renewal and rejuvenation. We are grateful, excited, and amazed at His goodness and grace! As our motto says, we seek to magnify the grace of God for all the world to see and believe. Some people wrongly associate grace with license. But this is how the Bible describes grace:

Titus 2:11-14

11: For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12: teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
13: looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
14: who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Acts 20:32 "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified."

There is not a hint of license in those verses – only a pure gospel, as recorded in the God-breathed scriptures, that has the power of perfect redemption, which results in holy living, as we look and live for Christ’s return.

So if you are looking for a local church home, or even if you are just traveling through the area, we would love for you to join us for worship, Bible study, prayer and fellowship.
